There are many kinds of doubts and questions in the minds of the people regarding Herpes, Stages of Herpes and its spread. The basic question in the minds of people regarding Herpes is “What is Herpes and how does it spread?” Herpes is a disease caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) which results in dangerous skin infections in the form of small blisters in groups over various body parts. These body parts include the face, mouth or the genitals. To know about the Stages of Herpes, one must about the types, causes and the reasons of Herpes. Herpes is of two types, namely Oral Herpes and Genital Herpes. Oral Herpes is the type of Herpes which results in the skin infections in the form of small blisters in groups, more commonly referred to as Cold Sores or Fever Blisters on the face, in mouth, on lips, chin, and cheeks, in or around the eyes, near nose, on neck or elbows. If we talk about Genital Herpes, the similar infections are in the form of groups of small blisters on the genitals of the infected individual including the external sex organs, the groin, buttocks and the opening of anus. Herpes is caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), which is broadly categorized into two types, namely Herpes Simplex Virus type-1 (HSV-1) and Herpes Simplex Virus type-2 (HSV-2). HSV-1 usually causes Oral Herpes while the most of the cases of Genital Herpes are caused by the HSV-2. Herpes is highly contagious and thus, is very dangerous. Returning to the Stages of Herpes, Herpes actually develops in stages. There are many stages in which the HSV develops and grows inside the human body and affects the immune system of the infected individual. There are actually three actual Stages of Herpes in which it grows and develops. These three stages of Herpes include the Primary Stage, Latent Stage and the Shredding stage. The Primary stage of Herpes starts when the HSV enters the human body. One of the greatest and weirdest facts about the HSV is that once it gets into a human body, it makes a permanent shelter in that body and hence, makes it too difficult for the immune system of that person to eradicate it from the body. The Primary stage of Herpes is one of the stages of Herpes which starts after 2 to 8 days of getting infected. These infections grow in groups of blisters and become itchy, painful and filled with fluid. The other symptoms of the primary stage of Herpes include fever, body aches, etc. In the Latent stage of Herpes, all the symptoms of Herpes almost disappear for a particular duration of time and it seems like it has got healed. But in the third and the last stage of Herpes, the HSV starts to multiply in the nerves and can get into various fluids in the body such as saliva, semen or the vaginal fluids, where it gets highly contagious and can be easily spread to other body making that body infected too. These were the main stages of Herpes in which the Herpes grows, develops and spreads in the humans.
